STATE OF PLAY V -
BUILDING THE GLOBAL METAVERSE.
CAPTEL will be hosting the State
of Play conference in Singapore in August 2007.
Organised jointly with New
York Law School, Havard's Berkman Centre, Yale Law School,
Trinity University and SIRC (Singapore Internet
Research Centre) at NTU. It will be the fifth conference and
this year's theme is Building the Global Metaverse

Public
Sector Data Protection Policy Training Programme
Profs
Harry SK Tan and Toh See Kiat will be conducting two half day
seminars and a full day course on the new Public Sector Data
Protection Policy designed for strictly for public sector
workers. This course is organised by IDA and MOF which provides
half funding for public sector workers who participate in this
programme. The proposed training dates are: Half Day Seminars on
25th Ju 2003 and 26th September 2003 and Full Day course on 29th

Intellectual Property and Legal Issues of E-Business - Public Seminar Series by Prof (Dr) Toh See Kiat
Prof Toh
conducted a series of 2 day seminars on
Intellectual Property and Legal Issues of Ebusiness at the Singapore
Institute of Management. The following were the dates of these public

March 2003 - Professor Beth Noveck of New York Law School’s
Democracy Design Workshop and Institute for Information Law &
Policy was CAPTEL’s Visiting Professor under the Fulbright
Senior Specialist Programme. She worked with CAPTEL Fellows for
the whole duration of her 10 day visit and delivered the following
presentations:
