Prof Steven Ang is
an Associate Professor at the Nanyang Business School, NTU, Singapore.
LL.B. (Hons.) N.U.S. (1988); LL.M. (Intellectual Property) Lond. (1994);
Advocate & Solicitor, Singapore (since 1989). Joined NTU in 1992. Teaches
undergraduate courses on Law of Information & Technology and Employment Law,
and conducts the Management of Intellectual Property Rights on the Nanyang MBA
Programme.
Main research interest is in intellectual
property law and has contributed the chapter on Intellectual Property in the Law
of Rights and Obligations of Business in Singapore (George Shenoy, editor),
and published other writings on the subject.
Was Editor of the Asia Business Law Review from July 1998 to April
2001 and is currently a Consulting Editor with that journal. In 1999, was a
visiting scholar at the NYU School of Law under a Fulbright grant.
Teaching:
Intellectual Property related subjects and employment law. Seminars/Talks:
includes public seminars and workshops on topics like copyright issues relating
to IT and the Internet, privacy, data-security and confidential information in
the workplace, sexual harassment in the workplace and employment screening and
equality. |
